Horizontal marks visible around chin and below right eye indicate probable earlier damage and old restoration.
Surface and ingrained dirt.
Inspection under UV light reveals scattered retouching to face and horizontal marks around chin and below right eye, most likely earlier restoration. An opaque varnish prevents further inspection and a more conclusive reading.
Frame has various knocks, marks and scratches, and some losses to gilding.
