Condition Report
The canvas has been relined. The paint surface appears in good clean condition. Ultraviolet reveals retouching to a 4-inch tear, upper right, extensive retouching to the sky, particularly upper left, to the grass throughout the middle-distance and in the foreground, some minor retouchings to figure's faces and horses. Held in a plaster-gilt frame with some loss to mouldings.
