Condition report
The canvas has a heavy wax relining. There are traces of craquelure throughout and old discolouration under a more recent glossy varnish; a light surface stain over the date. Ultraviolet reveals no sign of retouching but the aforementioned varnish prevents an accurate reading. Held in a later plaster gilt frame in fair condition.
