Condition Report
The Canvas has been lined and restretched. A few areas of light craquelure, otherwise the paint surface is clean. Ultraviolet reveals infilling to craquelure to the left side of the sitter's wig, a few lines to the face, to the robe, lower left and to what appears to be a repaired tear, lower right; some further lines of infilling to the background. Held in a plaster gilt frame in fair condition.
