Sybille May was reportedly a member of the La Stele and L'Evolution art movements in the interwar period, set up by Arthur Goldscheider. Her works often portray a strong Cubist influence.
Condition Report:
The surface of the bronze with some pitting to the back of the neck and some verdigris coloured spots to the legs which can be removed. There is a patch to the back of the figure, see image, of two concentric circles. Generally in good order with typical patination and marks consistent with age.
Two corners of the base are chipped slightly.
