Mounted on a marble base, signed 'L.M. SIMARD', with a seal mark, probably a foundry mark, 54cm wide; 64cm high

Condition report: 

Overall there are numerous inevitable scuffs, scratches, dents, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age.

The patination is rubbed and worn, with many areas of gilding rubbed away to the horse. Some areas of verdi gris, in small patches. 

The relief cast figures of the frieze with more some verdi gris and rubbing. 

Numerous rubbed areas and marks, most notably a dented scratch to the mane at the top of the head, see photographs.

Some small spots of blue paint. 

Small nibbles and chips to the black marble base along the edges. 

Please note the decoration is gilt not silvered, although much is worn and rubbed, leaving traces.
