Circa 1878
Painted in the centre, probably by John Hopewell, with three birds in branches, inside a deep cream border reserved with three panels of insects, possibly by James Sherriff, puce printed mark, 22.5cm diameter; also two other ornithogical plates probably painted by John Hopewell, impressed marks, each 23cm diameter

The first plate has some wear to the gilding and the black enamels on top of the gilding. 
The other two plates are in overall good condition
