This is taken from a model by Stevens circa 1852, a design for the finial posts to the entrance lodges outside the British Museum.

Please note it has been bought to our attention that this model is after a design by Alfred Stevens and the incised 12 b refers to the inventory of Charles Smith & Sons, also a plaster cast moulder like Brucciani & Co. 

General inevitable scuffs, and marks commensurate with wear, use and age. Dirt and dust to the patina. See extra images.
