Enamel portrait attributed to Gervase Spencer (British, c.1715-1763)
Of oval form, mounted garnets about the oval frame, the portrait on enamel of a Gentleman in a crimson jacket, white stock and lace cravat, oval frame with an arrangement of surrounding garnets, engraved sides, label to interior with 'C' 4th Earl beneath a coronet with five pearls, 8cm wide

Condition: No obvious damage or restoration. Metalwork would benefit from cleaning. When UV light is put on the portrait some small areas fluoresce, also on the metal border suggesting something may have been spilled on it ( see pic) No Obvious signs of restoration on the portrait.
