The colour of walnut is slightly darker than in the image online.

Overall the armoire is in relatively good order, there are some old knocks, chips, some shrinkage and worm in areas, as to be expected.

The cornice is loose which is typical of this type of furniture. It has been damaged at some point, with a repaired break on the front right corner which has resulted in various gaps and losses, glue visible on close inspection. Old worm evident in areas The other other corner is possibly repaired as well but not obviously. An additional section of moulding running along the inside edge of cornice. However, the cornice is presently not stable when on top of the armoire.

The interior is later lined with cotton toile du jouy fabric, the shelves and central drawers need to be realigned on the bracket supports.

Later lock with key.
