Condition report: 

The top with an area of discolouration possibly caused by ink. There is also a further similar discolouration to the back, near one of the hinges, which cause suggest it’s part of the timber. 

Two sections of the cross banding moulding are loose and require repair/restoration. 

The ‘show wood’ is veneered on to a pine /softwood carcass.
