A GEORGE III NEEDLEWORK SAMPLER BY GRACE WALLIS AND TWO REGENCY SILKWORK PICTURES (3)

The first mounted in a gilt gesso and wood frame, faint date circa 1770, 43cm high; an oval silk embroidery depicting a girl set in a garden, the nest and foliage composed of cut silk work, mounted in a moulded and beaded oval frame, framer's label to the reverse, 21cm high; Together with a circular framed figure of lady within a landscape next to an urn detailed with the name ‘WERTER’, giltwood and gesso frame, 42 x 42cm

Condition Report: 

The first sampler: Notable holes to the top left corner and bottom edge - running the width, with various other small holes scattered across. Some patches of discolouration and fading. See additional images. 

The small oval silkwork of the girl with bonnet: In relatively good condition with some light folds / creases to the silk fabric to the background. See images. 

The larger silkwork of lady next to the urn: Discolouration and fading - see extra images. No obvious holes or fraying to the fabric. 

All three with worn frames with  inevitable scuffs, scratches, dents, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age. The paper backs are loose, torn and missing sections.
