Condition report:
The metal with tarnishing and wear commensurate with use and age. The metal of the hinged cover is of a slightly more redder coppery finish, suggesting that the gilt surface finish is more rubbed here than to the body below. Possibly some residue of a white-ish dried cleaning fluid in the recesses of the engraved detail. The card base is slightly loose - see additional images - together with the fabric lined interior which is also a little delicate and loose. The painting of the central medallion is in good condition.
