Of baluster form, the body with floral, foliate and scroll embossed decoration, otherwise decorated with oak leaves and acorns above and to the hinged lid finial, raised on a circular foot, decorated with a floral band, height 31.5cm, with a later ebonised handle, maker Robert Hennell III, London 1835, gross weight 1090 gms

Condition Report;  the hinged lid of the claret jug has been repaired, hinge pin is probably replaced, there is no part mark to the hinged lid, the cast acorn finial is part marked.  Handle is replaced, some distortion to the foot where jug has been pushed down too hard. Body of claret jug has one or two small surface marks
