The broken-arched top case with brass carrying handle, above glazed doors, the sides with pierced fish-scale rectangular panels, the 8in arched brass dial with strike/silent above silvered chapter ring, enclosing a matted centre with pierced blued steel hands, the signed twin train chain fusée movement with anchor escapement striking the hour on a bell, with an associated mahogany bracket

Condition report

In unrestored condition.  With a modern crank key.  The case has been subject to repairs previously.  Some veneer replacement on the top and back door.  The movement requires a clean and service.  The brass securing brackets are Victorian replacements.
