In a bevelled glazed mahogany case with hinged door and concealed lock, bevelled mirrored back, the movement with tapered foliate engraved  plates, four screwed pillars, chain fusée with maintaining power, pierced Gothic-style silvered chapter ring, pierced steel hands, A-shaped pendulum bracket with engraved brass bob and detent escapement to the base with seconds hand above (hand lost), on a substantial four-column brass support, together with original engraved brass winding key

Condition report

The case is in unrestored original condition.  It is dusty and would benefit from a wax.  The glass is in good condition.  The movement is not working and the detent requires adjustment.  It would benefit from a clean and service also.  The pendulum is  detached from the carrier.  Together with its original key.
