The case with a swan-neck pediment above arched glazed dial door, flanked by fluted columns, the trunk with canted angles and inset with an arched panel door, on stepped base, the 13in. arched brass dial, with moon phase, above crown and cherub spandrels, enclosing brass chapter ring with matted and chased centre, seconds subsidiary and signed at VI o’clock, the twin train movement with anchor escapement and strike on a bell

Condition report

With winding crank, two cast-iron weights and cast-iron bob pendulum.  The movement is very dirty and will require a service.  The case is in reasonable order, some marks, scratches and knocks consistent with age.  A small veneer loss to the crossbanding on top left corner of the base.  Filled worm holes to the left side of the hood around the top of the door and in other parts.
