A FRENCH ENGRAVED GILT BRASS GORGE CASED STRIKING AND REPEATING CARRIAGE CLOCK

The case engraved all over, the top with large bevelled glass panel and four others below, with push repeat, white enamel dial detailed PARKINSON & FRODSHAM, with blued steel ‘Breguet’ moon hands and alarm subsidiary below, original silvered platform club-tooth lever escapement, twin train movement striking on a bell and with subsidary alarm train

Condition report

The gilding to the case is worn in places.  Chip to top right of bevelled glass on rear door.  Movement ticks only for a few seconds.  Horizontal hairline cracks to dial at top of the minute ring and above.  Repeat works.  Movement requires a full service.
