A 19TH CENTURY SYRIAN BONE INLAID HARDWOOD ENVELOPE CARD TABLE

The swivel top opening to reveal a baize lined surface, with ‘Mashriba’ panels to the arch frieze, turned legs joined by cross stretcher centred by a mother-of-pearl inlaid roundel, 55cm wide; 76cm high

Condition report: 

Probably Damascus or Syrian.  Late 19th Century 

Baize lining worn away in areas and faded, see extra images. 

Bone and ebony detail to some of the arched sides missing and some further inlay missing in other areas

Dirt and dust. 

Wear to some of the legs, worn away detail of the ring turning in some areas and other carved detail particularly 

Some shrinkage to the top with a shrinkage cracks more evident to one of the sections. A few other small chips. 

Scuffs, scratches, marks and dents, small chips commensurate with use and age.
