Now in a recent mahogany case of typical form, the 12in. circular silvered dial, signed, with sweep centre minutes and subsidiaries for seconds and hours, the five pillar movement wound from the reverse, with substantial enclosed brass plates, with screwed brass dust covers, signed to the reverse and No. 1034, with subsidiary settings dials for the seconds and minutes, six crossings to the wheels with deadbeat escapement, jewelled pallets, substantial grid iron pendulum, 195cm high
Condition report
As stated above the case is modern. It is in good condition. The movement was most likely housed in a room, within its own housing, perhaps within panelling. It winds from the reverse with lends to this theory, perhaps some sort of institution? The movement is substantial and has screwed dust covers. Has three substantial L brackets to hold it to seat board. Lacquering is a deep corn colour and worn in places. Movement is oily and will require a clean and service before running.
