Both transfer printed with Royal Coat of Arms, the shot bucket stamped to the underside ‘No.75, B.H. & G Ltd 3- 1942’, 33.5cm high, the smaller example with a tin liner, 25cm high

Shot buckets, like this example and manufactured by B.H. & G Ltd., were used by the Military or Navy to carry cordite or shot into battle up until World War 2.

Condition report: 

The first: Scuffs and wear commensurate with use and age, with some light loss to the coat of arms to bottom right of garter. 

General wear and dryness to the leather in areas. 

Canvas lined interior. 

Tarnishing to metal work. 

The second: Handle requires reattachment to to ring on one side. Handle leather very dry.
