One end having a sprung hinged cap engraved with a monogram, the inside having a glazed aperture for a small photograph, the other end with a screw cap engraved 'Lillie', 15cm wide, in a fitted leather case, the silk lined interior with retailers name 'Martin & Co of Cheltenham' in gilt lettering (the ends lacking)


Provenance: Hylda and Lewis Gilbert, Sheldrake Place, London. 

Lewis Gilbert (d.2018), the celebrated film director, producer and screenwriter, best known for his 007 James Bond movies and Alfie.
