Later cut out and mounted on a blue painted ground, in a gilt composition frame, 47.5 x 40cm, overall

Condition report: 

The ground has been painted blue with some traces of the paint to the edges of the beads. 

Frame with some old worm damage, losses and wear. 

The picture has to been examined out of the frame. 


Provenance: Hylda and Lewis Gilbert, Sheldrake Place, London. 

Lewis Gilbert (d.2018), the celebrated film director, producer and screenwriter, best known for his 007 James Bond movies and Alfie.
