Footnote:
This superb brandy glass, along with lots 666 and 667, has come to light following the sale of another from the set, sold in these rooms, Tuesday 9th March 2021, lot 710. They are offered for sale for the first time, having come directly from a branch of the Churchill family. The original set consisted of six such balloons, the whereabouts of the remaining two is currently unknown.
