the three piece case with associated lid, ivory roundel, with brass gimbals and bowl, with glazed bezel, the 4in. silvered dial with Roman chapters, signed William Latch, 37 High Street, Newport, No 648, with subsidiaries for power reserve and seconds subsidiary, gilt hands, the movement with spotted plates, chain fusée and maintaining power, bi-metallic compensated balance with blued steel helical spring, diamond endstone and jewelled to the escape wheel, with Earnshaw-type detent escapement, with a brass 'tipsy' key

Condition report:

- The top cover of the box appears to be a later replacement 

- The barrel cover is loose, the fusee is fully wound and the chain has detached from the barrel

- The movement appears in order and runs with maintaining power
