20th Century, probably by Linley

Estimate: £200 - £300
Hammer price: £900
Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

The tapered columns with gilt-metal capitals and raised on stepped square bases, unsigned, with shades
62cm high, excluding fitments (2)

Condition report:

Overall in very good condition.

The odd very small/minor tiny dent or bruise to the sycamore, commensurate with age and use, including two small  spot marks towards the back of the stepped plinth which can probably be cleaned off.

Dirt and dust to some of the recesses and to the shades, consistent with use and age.

Electrical cord has been cut and the lamps will obviously require rewiring correctly to PAT safety standards.

The shades are creased in a number of areas (see additional photograph of the most severe crease).

The dimensions of the bases are: 20.5cm wide; 21cm deep
