Condition report
Canvas relined. Paint surface is in good, clean condition. Ultraviolet reveals scattered spots of retouching in the sky, to the centre of the lake; flecks to stretcher marks along the left hand edge; to frame abrasions, lower right; some strengthening to signature but could be this could be the artist's pigment. Held in a plaster gilt frame in fair condition.
