Probably European, second half of the 19th century, the centre modelled as a griffin holding a heart, standing on a crown within an oval winged dragon form surround, with a crown surmount to the head, mounted with variously cut rubies and rose cut diamonds, the curved sides of wide woven form, the terminals with loop fittings, probably to take a ribbon, width 54cm; height of central section 9.5cm, gross weight 595 gms

Ruby in the heart is open backed and other rubies in close back settings.
Missing two points of the coronet at the top when viewed from the back, would have been ruby centred with rose diamond surrounds.
Diamond points to the coronet are a little bent over.
