The base metal cased, keyless wind, openfaced Goliath watch with an unsigned Swiss jewelled lever movement, the silver fronted rectangular travelling case London 1899
Estimate: | £50 - £70 |
Hammer price: | £130 |
Movement balance wheel is free, but soon stops, probably requires a full service and lubrication, base metal case, would benefit from polishing to the exterior, dial slightly dusty by the edges, but no significant hair cracks, case diameter 75mm.
Silver fronted case; the front mount is loose, replacement pins are required, traces of old engraving, probably a name followed by Jan 1901, hallmark for Goldsmith & Silversmith Co, however this is rather rubbed, strut hinge ok, leather to back is a bit scuffed at the edges and requires leather polish, case hinge good condition, interior velvet lining is rather grubby, size of silver travelling case 11.7cm by 10.1cm
