19th century, with a walnut two tier base, 100cm wide; 100cm high
Estimate: | £300 - £400 |
Hammer price: | £300 |
Condition report:
Marble top is probably associated. Numerous small little nicks along the edge, scuffs and scratches.
The walnut frame with numerous old worm holes in areas, minor chips and scuffs commensurate with use and age, including a repaired split to the top corner block and a repair to the back leg with red wax concealing the dent.
The undertier is secured to the supporting rails with unoxidised steel screws, suggesting possibly a later element, and is a slightly oversized fit.
