This work closely relates to an oil of the same scene, dating from 1902, in the collection of the The National Gallery of Canada, accession no. 4809. In addition to the work in Canada, this view of the Rue Notre-Dame with the church of St. Jacques was the subject of four smaller paintings, etchings and other sketches.
