Condition Report
Original canvas; two flecks of paint loss due to frame abrasions on the extreme, top left edge; areas of craquelure and lifting paint along the right-hand border but no paint loss; otherwise surface is in good, clean condition; ultraviolet reveals two small areas of infilling to the sky, upper right; further areas of fluorescence to the sail and sky, upper left but these appear to be the hand of the artist; held in a plaster gilt frame in fair condition.
