May Blakeman was married to the stained glass artist Charles Blakeman, who was also an accomplished landscape artist and stone carver. A sculptor in her own right, she created the sculptures for the crypt in St. Etheldreda, Ely Place, London, whilst her husband worked on the nave and west windows between 1956-1963.
