A comparable set of three were offered at auction: Auctionhouse Arnold, Frankfurt, 23 November 2024. These examples were dated to 1968.
Condition report:
General wear and tear, with numerous scuffs and scratches, as per extra images on www.bellmans.co.uk
The one x frame has slightly lifted out of position and no longer sits in a flush fashion. This will require a little tidying.
The rails to the back have been removed along side the light fittings, with only the wires remaining. The rails may well have had additional manufacturing information, although this is conjecture.
The veneered wood frames also with inevitable scuffs, scratches, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age.
