Of shaped oval rococo form, with a cast scroll and gadrooned rim, with a swingover handle, raised on four bold scrolling feet, crest engraved, length 39.5cm, weight 2016 grams

Condition Report

There are a few repairs to the pierced decoration. There are a few dents to the body, the feet are all slightly pierced, there is a small section missing from one foot.  There is variation of colour of oval form within the feet area, this is not apparent from the front.  It is detailed No 2 underneath, was probably originally one of a pair.  The basket is consigned from a deceased estate.  There are no apparent marks to the hinged swingover handle.  The basket is slightly wobbly on its feet.  Area of damage? to the right of one side of the handle when viewed from the underside

The armorial is probably contemporaneous with the manufacture date.
