Old marks and scratches present throughout, some small chips and splits towards the front edge of the top, sections of brass inlay have become loose to the front and both sides of the item with large splits running up each side, multiple sections of tortoise shell has lifted/split in multiple places, with scuffs and chips present to the base, all gilt metal decoration is present, see additional images
