Condition report:
Dirt, dust and inevitable chips and losses commensurate with wear, use and age. Losses in particular to the extremities, notably to several leaf ends and a wing of the game held in the dog’s mouth. Old worm holes, apparently now inactive, notably to the carved leafy area at the base of the sculpture. The top of the central tree branch unfinished and possibly this could have had a further element to the top. The tripartite base with scroll feet and separate to the main body of the sculpture.
