A complete set of boxwood and ebony chess pieces, a knight and rook of each colour stamped with the Jacques crown and both Kings inscribed 'JAQUES LONDON' to the bases, weighted, the kings 11.5cm high, within a green felt lined mahogany case with 'Genuine Staunton Chessmen' label to the interior cover, 23.5cm wide

Condition Report:

Black: Some loss of colour to one or two pieces but minor. One pawn with a split and one with a chip. King with crack. Very minor chip to rook below crenellation. Loss and repair to knight. 

White: One pawn with chip. Both rooks with very minor chips to crenellations. Small chip to Queen. Cross on top of King is loose. 

Box: hinge broken on one side. 

Overall general wear and superficial scratches due to age and use.
