In 1803 Legros d’ Ansy discovered a printing process which was patented in 1808. He had formed a partnership with Stone and Coquerel based on Rue St. Merry from 1807 ending in 1849, with several changes of address in between (1825 Rue Charlotte and later Rue de Poitou). The undecorated porcelain mostly came from the Sevres factory.

Condition Report:

Frame with numerous losses and breaks as seen in photographs. Plaque not examined out of frame but there is one small section missing on the side as photographed. Some of the paint is flaking around the border.
