Two oblong white metal snuff boxes, the larger 7.5 cm wide, with red banded agate covers and bases, together with a capped rectangular copper table snuff box with vacant cartouche, 11.5 cm wide; and two papier-mache snuff boxes, one with a painted portrait of a mother and child, 8.5cm; the other with print of a couple entitled ‘Le Curieux’, 9cm diameter
Condition Report:
Smaller agate box: Agate plaque coming away from metal mount slightly on one side. Very minor nibbles to edge of agate.
The two papier-mache examples with various small nicks and chips, particularly to the rim of the lid of the French example. The painted one with a light crackelure over the surface.
All with wear and marks consistent with age and use.
