Estimated weight of emerald: 0.40ct (based on measurements of 5.1mm x 4.3mm x 2.6mm)
Estimated total diamond weight: 0.98ct (based on measurements of approx 5mm by approx 3.2mm deep each (due to the setting the depth is very much approximate)
The emerald is of a medium colour saturation and shows abrasions and nibbles to the girdle under 10x magnification, with natural inclusions.
The diamonds are attractive white stones, one with an eye visible pique inclusion beneath the table and small nibbles to the girdles.
Quite a few of the claws have receded and would benefit from re-tipping and the bar of the brooch is slightly misshapen.
