Designed as a central cluster and bow, mounted with the principal cushion shaped sapphire at the centre, in a surround of cushion shaped diamonds, otherwise mounted with calibre cut sapphires to the central row and with cushion shaped diamonds mounted to the sides, indistinct mark to the pin, CONEAL ANIERI length 6.2cm, gross weight 9.5 gms, with a later case

There are nine mostly square cut sapphires on one side of the brooch and ten on the other side.  There is some variation of the cut of these small sapphires, one sapphire is not square, this being the fourth along from the centre on the side that has ten sapphires.  The central sapphire has an internal gletz inclusion and has a few other inclusions.  Signature to pin is not clear, suggested age of brooch 1920s, evidence of lead solder repair is apparent at either side of the central cluster.  Personal viewing is recommended
