The case with engine turned back and vacant plain centre, plain cuvette, the 47mm white enamel dial, signed and numbered, with power reserve subsidiary and recessed seconds subsidiary, blued steel hands, the half-plate movement, signed and numbered with two crowned honorifics, with chain fusee and maintaining power, bi-metallic cut compensated balance, free sprung blued steel helical spring and detent escapement

The case 52mm diam.

In an associated brass-bound triple-level mahogany deck box, the lift out velvet lined watch bed, inscribed in ink to the underside 01379

Frodsham's use of the qualifier 'AD fmsz' is a code taking each letter of the Frodsham surname as 123456789, with 'z' indicating zero, so therefore 1850, the date at which they began manufacturing the highest quality pocket watches.

CONDITION REPORT;  The watch is currently working, damage to the dial between 5 and 6 o'clock.  There is a hair crack running from 25 seconds to the edge of the dial.  Case is in good condition, case hinges are in good condition, movement would benefit from professional cleaning, hands match, the top suspension bow has been strengthened at the top, where previously it perhaps showed signs of wear.  Slight rubbing to detailed of engine turning.

Wooden box;  slight damage where the top of the suspension of the watch sits in position, split to wood to the lowest section of the interior of the box, hinges good.  There is no key to the lock of the box and there is no key to the pocket watch.  Size of box 11 cm x 8.8 cm x depth 5 cm.
