WIth three independent mechanisms, the rounded rectangular gilt frame modelled with foliage to each corner, the scene depicting figures on a quayside by a tower, with a volcano beyond and vessels at sea with a lighthouse to the left side, the tower showing an enamel dial, with rectangular-shaped French movement striking on a gong, the scene with approximately 17 automata, which can be played at will, a Swiss music box to the right side, with independent control from the lower right side

CONDITION REPORT
Some losses to gesso work, as visible in the photograph. The gilding with wear in places, showing the underlying red. The three mechanisms - the clock, the music box and automata - all require work and servicing as we understand the piece has not been in use for a number of years. There is a pendulum but no keys.
