The oval case with curved bevelled glass front and rear door, the stepped top with a shaped pivoted handle above engraved initials G. B. M Jan 1st 1891, with push/repeat button, the curved sides and dial surround decorated in three-colour Shibyama style low relief, with inset silvered dial with retailer’s name, the twin train movement stamped to the backplate with Brocot’s trademark AB in a star and numbered 133, with original platform lever escapement and striking/repeating on a blued steel gong
