The case with brass line and foliate inlay, flanked by canted angles, the sides each with a brass carrying handle and grille panel, on stepped base and ball feet, the 8in white-painted dial with strike/silent in the arch, blued steel moon hands, the three train chain fusée movement, with engraved edge and signed in an oval Thos Sherwood Leeds, striking the hours on a bell and the quarters on eight bells with eight hammers, with anchor escapement and pendulum locking block

CONDITION REPORT

The case in overall good condition.  Probably recently cleaned as the side silks are fresh.  The movement appears clean and well maintained, although the strike and chime work does not function.  The movement ticks and the hour strike repeats.
