The swan-neck pediment above a glazed arched door flanked to each side by a turned tapering column, the trunk with an arched panel door and flanked to each side by a fluted quarter-column, on a base with canted corners and bracket feet, the 13 1/2in arched brass dial, with moonphase, above pierced spandrels and silvered chapter ring, with foliate engraved centre and calendar to the edge, pierced brass hands, the twin train movement with countwheel strike on a bell

Lott Barwise (b. 1726) at Oulton, Cumberland and moved to Cockermouth circa 1748, he died in 1799.

CONDITION REPORT
With a pair of cast-iron weights. Brass bob pendulum and steel crank winding key.
The movement is unrestored and very dirty, so will require a service. The case is in reasonable condition, some marks and knocks consistent with age. A small loss to lefthand moulding of swan neck and also a smaller loss on right side. A vertical split in plinth. Losses to bracket feet.
