The case with a shallow dome and three gilt finials, above pierced sound fret and glazed door flanked by spiral three-quarter columns, the trunk inset with a panel door, on stepped base and four bun feet, the 11in square brass dial with pierced spandrels and silvered chapter ring detailed Sam. Tinham New Sarum, enclosing a matted centre with seconds ring and date aperture, the twin train movement with anchor escapement and countwheel strike on a bell

CONDITION REPORT

With pendulum, crank key and two brass-cased weights.

The case is a relatively modern custom-made case.

The movement appears to have been substantially rebuilt, probably using associated and new components.  The dial plate has a vacant pillar hole, indicating the movement is associated to it.  The date ring and countwheel are also replacements.
