The hood with a moulded cornice above a square glazed door, flanked to each side by fluted Corinthian columns, the sides with pierced frets, above the trunk with arched panelled door, and a Corinthian fluted column flanking each side, on a stepped, panelled base and bracket feet; the 12 ½ in. square brass dial with pierced spandrels and silvered chapter ring, enclosing a matted centre with seconds subsidiary, with three levers for silent/strike; silent/chime and Westminster/Whittington, the substantial three train movement with deadbeat escapement and maintaining power, chiming the quarters and striking the hours on eight tube gongs

1 pendulum. 3 weights. 1 case key, 8 tubes (verdigris), please note one tube is missing


The clock case is in good original condition.  It’s very high quality.  Some marks and knocks consistent with age. 

The substantial movement has been well cared for but will now require a full service.   The dial is tarnished.
