The hood with a wavy cresting, three brass finials, above dentil ornament, glazed door and fluted column uprights, the trunk with a well-figured arched panel door, above a panelled base on swept bracket feet; the 12 in. arched brass dial (originally square) with later fitted sector with moonphase, above foliate cast spandrels and silvered chapter ring, enclosing an engraved centre with seconds subsidiary recess and calendar sector, pierced blued steel hands, the twin train five-pillar movement with anchor escapement and later fitted with a weight driven, side facing quarter chiming mechanism, on eight tubes and striking the hour on a larger tube (case associated, dial and movement adapted)
